P.C. Political Correctness? No. Personal Computer, umm, close but I am thinking that PC will eventually stand for Personal Communicator. Why? Well for the simple reason that I more then often, now a days, am/are/is saying “Hunh?” Please understand that the closer I get to being old, not that I ever will be old but just that it is better then the alternative, my hearing seems to be more acute. Acute meaning that my hearing seems to mind its own business and tries not to over-hear other conversations. Or in other words, I can not hear what you are saying when someone else is talking at the same time! Dagnabnit. And it does seem that more and more people prefer to talk at the same time as I am rather then relinquishing the floor to their betters or even folks like me. Or, do I mean that it seems as though folks are in the habit of interrupting more? Yeah, yeah, let’s go with the later, it seems to be more PC. And speaking once again about PC, Personal Communicator, I have a bold prediction to make and that is … everyone’s hearing is going to hell and we all need some form of PC! Remember that old Star Trek TV show, where Captain Kirk would click his PC and ring in Scotty and yell, “Give me more power Scotty”? Only really Kirk did not yell, it just seemed that way with a Personal Communicator. The work forces of today are in the same need of PC’s as in Kirk’s day. The more crowded this world becomes, the more other folks are going to be willing to interrupt what I have to say, er, those folks are going to interrupt what you have to say!
Okay, here comes my prediction (drum roll please), everyone will end having a PC to the extent that even when we are face to face, there will be so many other fools, strike that I mean folks, trying to talk over what you are saying that we will eventually end up using what we now call our cell phones to communicate with someone only 2′ away! Voice recognitionwill improve to the point where when I say, “Hey Bill”, my PC that is no bigger then an ear bud, will call Bill and he can automatically respond to my summons easier then flipping me the “Bird”. So you see, Personal Communications will be so much better in the near future then it is now. Thank technology and growing increase of mankind. YeeHaw!! (just what till you hear that in your own PC ear bud)

Yeah, and with a PC, you get the chance to say what you want, exactly how you want to say it, and in entirety and then send it. No one can interrupt your thought process. Yeah, much more peaceful that way.
